A Novel Image Encryption Algorithm Based on the Delayed Maps and Permutation-Confusion-Diffusion Architecture

To improve the dynamical behaviors of 1D chaotic maps, a new linear-delay-modulation method (LDM) is proposed. Derived from Sine map, delayed map (DSM) proposed based on LDM. Then, we substitute in SIMM system with DSM and obtained (DSIMM). Its performance analyzed through phase diagram, Lyapunov exponent spectrum, complexity. The results show that can generate more complex random sequences. Hence, apply two systems to novel image encryption algorithm permutation-confusion-diffusion architecture. Firstly, permutate pixel efficiently, plain-image scrambled by using multilayer nonlinear index. Secondly, confused matrix generated sequences, then, ciphertext transformed into sequence. Finally, plaintext sensitivity facilitate key management, enhance applying diffusion instead plaintext-related keystream. equation contains sum undiffused pixels operation cyclic bit-shift. Simulation for gray illustrate effectiveness algorithm.
